UBB presents UN/NOTED romance

Veliko Tarnovo town is the eighth stop along the route of the UN/NOTED exhibition from the Gold Fund of United Bulgarian Bank’s Collection. The town, which has inspired series of canvasses, beaming unmatched romance and symbolic atmosphere, is going to meet the emblematic for the Bulgarian art paintings of UBB. The works will be showcased entrance-free at Rafael Mihaylov Exhibition halls from 12 through 27 May.

Veliko Tarnovo citizens and visitors will be given the opportunity to enjoy the unknown works of one of the most prominent and renowned Bulgarian painters. The exhibition’s visitors will be able to see the beauty of this picturesque town through the eyes of the Tarnovo-born and talented painter Ivanichka Paneva. Her oil canvasses Veliko Tarnovo in the Winter and Panorama ІІ exhibit the town in its light colours and tranquil harmony. The distinguished both in Bulgaria and worldwide artist Ivan Hristov recreates the splendor of Tarnovo and the nature of its outskirts in its painting Landscape – Tarnovo. Among the UN/NOTED highlights in Veliko Tarnovo is also Rural Idyll by Denyo Chokanov, another Tarnovo-born artist, who painted it in the last century 30s.

Apart from the works of classics and modern-time painters, the exhibition further contains an exposition of especially selected valuable antiques from the Bank’s collection – unique typewriters and mechanical calculators, wall clocks etc. The captivating exhibits sort of re-echo the history of the Bulgarian banking business.
